Rather unique…is our latest addition to Rather Good Stays. Set in the village of Grosmont, Town Farm has looked proudly over the Monmouthshire hills since 1673.
This Jacobean building was once the main farmstead of the parish and is steeped in intriguing historical details. The house boasts four luxurious bedroom suites all with bath tubs, a games room with snooker table and a children’s play room to keep your little darlings amused whilst you relax with a glass or two…
The Essence
Sumptuous bedrooms, deep feather-filled sofas, a bathroom for each bedroom, unique and unusual historical features, original oil portraits, fine fabrics, cook’s kitchen with ‘Quaffer’s island’, bubble up in the copper ‘Bateau’ Jacuzzi bath, shoot some pool, get up/don’t get up, look o’er the hills.
The Area
Somewhere between England’s green and pleasant land and God’s own country, just over the border into Wales but within harking distance of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Ancient castles, old fashioned market towns, spectacular river valleys and unrivalled walks abound. And not forgetting our fab village boozer…
